Description |
|
Commentary: In the fall of 1914 soldiers marched off to War singing the popular song, “We'll Be Home By Christmas”. The four years of incredible carnage that ensued should have stood for all time as a warning beacon to the futility of war. And yet, like lemmings, we continue to go over the cliff never seeming to be aware of that futility.
Medium: Old wood ammo box with Antique rifle butt, WWI soldier doll inside with old wood toy horse, brass shell, old brass toy bugle & painted black cross & barbed wire surrounding 6 vintage walker soldiers heading for the cliff :
