SOLD / Toni Stone was the first woman to play regularly for a professional baseball team. She joined the Negro League in 1953. She played 2nd base, Hank Aaron's old position. Toni Stone was subjected to a double bias. Being Black she could not play on White teams and being a woman she was ridiculed by her teammates & fans. Toni Stone was one of the best players you never heard of.
