Mark Twain wrote a short story where he dies and goes to heaven where he was surprised to find people who were unknown on earth were celebrated in Heaven as outstanding artists, poets, even generals. The paradox existed because on earth these individuals were denied the chance to develop their talents. I am making a similar point here: suggesting that had they been given the chance there would be a plethora of famous Black Women in all fields of endeavor - artists, scientists, politicians, authors. Instead historically all too many Black women have had to spend their lives working as janitors, cooks, waitresses, and house cleaners. Aunt Jemima epitomizes this.
