This piece incorporates a 10 foot long snake skin with altered photos on cloth of girls holding snakes intermixed with their hand drawn Tarot Card spirit guides. This piece rolls up into the snake headpiece. Medusa was a strong female portrayed as a hideous monster by her patriarchal commentators. The story on the snakeskin is that of the stain of Eve, the subjugation of women resulting in Matriarchy versus Patriarchy. From the Empress to the girl baby holding the sun; the tale is circular - the fight goes on.
Medium:10 ft snakeskin appliqued with hand drawn pen & ink Tarot cards & photos on cloth of girls w/ snakes, rolls up into a wood bait box with carved wood snakes
