Commentary: Like so many others I feel a desire, an obligation even, to add my voice to the chorus of outrage coming from the tens of thousands of protesters in the country right now. For me the best way to do this is thru my art. I call this piece “The Greek Chorus” because we are standing in solidarity and bearing witness with a collective voice against this prolonged form of racial injustice.
Medium: Handmade wood stage and stands. Antique hand painted racist metal caricature face of a Black man. Wood carving of young Black man lying in front of the stage. Antique wood & cardboard policemen game pieces, vintage hand painted wood skittles bowling pins. American flag curtains
